and services as a Supplier Quality Engineer. This position can be
located in Gwinner, Bismarck or West Fargo, ND.
This position is dedicated to driving continuous improvement within our
supplier partners by supporting New Product Development (NPD), Strategic
Sourcing, Current Issue Resolution, Lean Policy Deployment and Value
Analysis/Value Engineering.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the NPD process and completing the required tasks under each
gate relative to Supplier Development- FMEA's/process audits.
- Supports the strategic sourcing initiatives and develop those
suppliers that partner with Bobcat through our suppliers to resolve and
prevent any further occurrence of those current issues that
significantly impact Bobcat.
- Promotion of Lean Policy Deployment within the supply base and will
need to engage the supplier to complete a total value stream pull.
- Work with all facets of the Bobcat organization and will promote
quality, productivity, strategic alliances, information sharing,
customer support, and continuous improvement.
- Communicate to all levels of an organization.
- Must have good audit, judgment and leadership ability.
- Extensive travel required.
- SQE is responsible for working with Sourcing to approve suppliers
through the
white paper process
- SQE will oversee the qualification of new parts through the Bobcat
qualification process working with Sourcing, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and
the supplier
Percentage of Travel: 25-30%
Min. Yrs. Experience: 3-5
Education Standard: Bachelor's
Education Type: Engineering or other technical discipline
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree Engineering or other technical
discipline preferred. Process/Manufacturing/Quality experience
beneficial with strong business aptitude preferred. Strong computer and
interpersonal skills
